In-Production Inspection / SPC

Practical experience has shown that causes of failure in a large-scale series production are hard to trace in retrospect. Furthermore, they can possibly cause high costs due to lost working time and wasted materials. In-production inspection is your guarantee for an effective quality assurance during production. Whether individual manufacture or classic large-scale production, or anything in between: With our in-production inspection tool, you can plan and execute all your inspection processes intuitively and practically. Monitor product quality and control production processes using lot inspections, inspection charts or statistical process control (SPC).

Identify and Eliminate Causes of Failure

Statistical process control has been specially developed to monitor and improve production process in a time-controlled and quantity-dependent manner. Statistical key figures are automatically recorded and processed. In this way, the SPC optimizes production processes, which in turn results in identifying and avoiding the cause of failure and thus ensures the profitability of the company.

Define Individual Inspection Processes

Comprehensive features help identify potential weak points and determine machine and process capabilities. Clearly structured inspection processes and visual support enhance user-friendliness and acceptance throughout the workforce. By using family inspection plans and plausibility inspections, planning costs are minimized and a smooth inspection process is ensured. If missing data or deviating measurements are detected, BabtecQ’s integrated warning system will become active and lead you directly to the problem. With in-production inspection / SPC, you can play it safe and simulate the defined inspection process as early as the planning phase. This means that you avoid subsequent time-consuming corrections to the inspection process.

Use production groups in order to monitor your production process separately according to production units (e.g., nests). For lot-based releases, standards-compliant as well as individually configurable sampling instructions are also available, including dynamic sampling for reducing inspection expenses.

Analysis and Verification of Process Capability

Our software offers you analysis tools for calculating distribution shapes. In addition you can configure confidence intervals and calculation methods for determining process capabilities in accordance with DIN ISO 22514-2. For analyzing process capability and providing your customers with evidence thereof, you can furthermore draw on an extensive library of statistical assessments and reports. Results are then conveniently prepared in the form of control charts, histograms, probability grids or inspection charts.

If control plans have already been created in BabtecQ as part of the product planning process, they can also be used for planning in-production inspections. At the touch of a button, adopt inspection-related product and process characteristics from the control plans into your inspection plans – automatic updates included.
