Release 6.4: BabtecCAQ Becomes Babtec.Q

Babtec's software solutions now have a new name – BabtecCAQ has become Babtec.Q. And it now provides leading-edge audit management functions: its new offline audit tool enables audits to be carried out on the move.

Babtec's software is already being used in many industries across the world today, and the potential for quality remains enormous. Babtec is now making preparations to introduce the topic of quality management to even more industry sectors and countries. This is the reason why the software has been given a different name: from Release 6.4, Babtec's software solutions are now called Babtec.Q.

The term CAQ (Computer-Aided Quality Assurance), which was previously a defining component of the software name – was created when CIM (Computer-Integrated Manufacturing) was invented in the 1980s. The development of CAQ systems was given particular impetus by demands from the automotive industry. Today it is standard practice for companies from almost every industry to implement integrated software solutions to ensure that their quality planning, assurance and management processes run efficiently.

Babtec launched its Release 6.4 in April, rigorously following its goal of best possible process optimization: software-supported audits can now also be carried out independently of the CAQ system, using the new Offline Audit tool. The sophisticated yet user-friendly design of the new Offline Audit tool helps auditors perform their tasks effectively and efficiently. Uncomplicated data synchronization ensures they can swap data securely between Offline Audit and Babtec.Q.

This ease of use is also reflected in the new product name: companies that are not familiar with the term CAQ software and its historical success, will find the new name Babtec.Q simpler, easier and broader in meaning. As it should be - quality is international and not restricted to any particular industry segment.
