Babtec in St. Gallen: Opening Ceremony in Switzerland

In June 2022, we laid the foundations for a Swiss location with the founding of Babtec Schweiz AG – and we were able to officially open this at a small celebration with around 40 guests at our new premises in St. Gallen.

Babtec Flair in St. Gallen

One year after Babtec Schweiz AG was founded, the keys to the new premises were handed over in June 2023. After the renovation work, which was completed in November 2023, it is now unmistakable: the Babtec flair has moved into our new office in St. Gallen. The building in which it has found its home looks back on an interesting history: it was formerly the headquarters of Malik, a company that stands for holistic general management, leadership and governance solutions worldwide. Prof. Dr. Fredmund Malik is the founder of the company and is also known far beyond the country's borders as an award-winning bestselling author. It is his thoughts that guide Babtec's leadership culture and management model – and now the meeting room of our Swiss team is located in his former office.

When asked what he particularly likes about the new office, Dominic Purin, Site Manager of Babtec Schweiz AG, answers: "Definitely the view". Centrally located, the new Babtec office offers a view of the beautiful landscape of St. Gallen, which enjoys a reputation as the cultural and economic center of Eastern Switzerland and is also home to the University of St. Gallen, which is well-known in the German-speaking world.

Opening Ceremony: From Keynote Speech to Apéro Riche

Guests at the new Babtec premises in St. Gallen

Dominic Purin, together with his colleagues and members of the Babtec management team, was delighted to welcome around 40 guests to the opening ceremony in St. Gallen. A special highlight was the keynote speech by Dr. Lothar Natau, who is not only the owner of Natau Management & Beratung GmbH but also a board member of the SAQ Swiss Association for Quality.

Quality for the benefit of people – "We at Babtec naturally find ourselves reflected in this guiding principle of the presentation, as it expresses what we are pursuing with our vision," says Dominic Purin. In the triad of past, present and future, Dr. Natau also pointed out that increasing productivity is one of the most important tasks of a company in today's times of a shortage of skilled workers. A key factor in meeting this challenge is the use of software. Afterwards, the Apéro Riche with some Swiss delicacies was an invitation to exchange ideas and network.

What Happens at the Swiss Site

The opening ceremony was a successful start to the future of our new location. The aim is to provide closer on-site support for Swiss customers and interested parties. Accordingly, we are of course also planning to expand our existing team of three on site. More colleagues should therefore soon be able to enjoy the wonderful view from the Babtec office in St. Gallen.
