BabtecCAQ Release 2008: Manufacturing Quality With Innovative Software

With BabtecCAQ Release 2008, software supplier Babtec once more expands the scope of functionalities of its CAQ system. New technologies merge with an innovative look-and-feel. All new features will be presented for the first time in April at the Control 2008 trade fair.

The highlight among the new performance characteristics is a new analyzing tool which applies to any data stored in the BabtecCAQ database. As a software module, the Babtec Q.Analyzer enables users to easily create their own company-specific evaluations and reports. Models and sample reports complete the functionalities offered. The underlying new and web-oriented technologies permit every authorized user to subscribe to relevant reports and have trends and analyses directly delivered to them via e-mail. All reports and evaluations can also be publicized on company-wide intranet platforms, regular automatic updates included.

Moreover, the compliance of BabtecCAQ to current industrial standards has been strategically extended. All quality-related tests that are subject to the systemwide test planning can now revert to new tables with general tolerances for an automatic definition of upper and lower specification limits (in compliance with DIN ISO 2768, DIN 7168, DIN 16901, DIN 6930, DIN 1688 et al.). DIN ISO 21747, the new international SPC standard for process performance and capability statistics is now fully supported as well.

In addition, system integration for a consistent processing of customer and supplier complaints has been further optimized, as a new version of Babtec Q.Reporter has been added. As a software tool for the direct exchange of complaint-relevant information between customers and suppliers, the Q.Reporter now sports a multitude of new features. Thus a single 8D report form can now be used to report more than one failure to the supplier, turning short communication channels to account even more extensively. As before, the new and enhanced tool is also available for all BabtecCAQ users and their suppliers via free download.

These and more CAQ highlights will be presented live at the Control 2008 trade fair by Babtec Informations-systeme GmbH in hall 5, booth 5230.
